+A card whitch represents wisdom and prudence; self-denial; thriftiness; withdrawel; silent counsel. it can indicate regression; desertion or annulment.
-lack of patience, or possible over-prudence that can cause unnessesary delay, Immaturay, childishness, impredence, foolishness.
INTERPRETATION: Silent counsel; a meeting with one who will guid ethe Seeker toward his goals. The courage and maturity to do what is right. the open mindess to be willing to accept help when offered.
REVERSED: Wisdom of others spurned. Rejection of one's own maturity. Foolish Vices. Refusal to learn and experiance new things. Tendancy to be a perpetual Peter Pan.
PAST:People are often pigheaded and refuse to accpt any other way of doing things that thier own. He has been offerd some wise advice; the following few cards will show whether he has been able to accept it or not.
FUTURE; Suggest to him that when unselfish help is offered he should not turn it down.
REVERSED/PAST; In indicates that the Seeker has already refused some help from an older wiser person.
REVERSED/FUTURE; Suggest to him that instead of turning down the help that will be offered, he should give the matter further thought to see if the help is of real value to him. This card can also suffeset that the Seeker lifves in a childish world of his own and refuses to grow up.
WHEN IT FALLS INTO THE LAYOUT OF A WOMAN: She does not want to act or dress according to her age. but like a much younger person.
DESCRIPTION: The Hermit stands alone on a snowy mountains peak far about the weary travelers. below, from whom he lights the way. his lantern is the Lamp of Truth; In contains the siz-pointed star of radiant evergy, whitch suggest, "Where i am , there you may be" he remains on the hieghts throughout the long nights of spiritual darkness, waiting for those who act, dare, keep silent and find the way. The card of the Fool is tha tof a youth looking upward in the morning light, full of expenctancy. where as the Hermit is the bearded ancient looking down at the night. He has arrived at high point of spiriutal wisdom, whitch he is now willing to share with others
